Do I Wanna Know? (2013)
Vox Starstream XII (Model V270) — 1967-68 12-string, semi-hollow teardrop body, manufactured by Eko (Italy) for Vox → Vintage Selmer Zodiac Twin 30 combo (primary) + Magnatone Custom 410 (blended simultaneously)
Heavy, droning, atmospheric — elements of both Black Sabbath and Dr. Dre. Overdriven snarl with gentle analog tremolo warble from the Vox Starstream's repeater circuit and/or Magnatone vibrato. The 12-string adds natural chorus-like width and shimmer. Dark, moody, bluesy. Per James Ford: 'It had a weight to it that I really like.' Unique space between vintage fuzz/psychedelia and modern alternative heaviness.
